We were in Boston a couple of months ago with our two young children, three and 1.5 years old. We went to Legal Seafoods (a must-try in Boston). We went for dinner, pretty much at prime time and we found it to be very kid friendly. They had special kid menus and handed our kids crayons, etc. There were quite a number of other kids so we felt pretty comfortable... Great chowder, too!

I agree the Legal Seafoods is great for families, and they have 2 locations in Back Bay (Prudential Center and Park Square) and also one across from the Aquarium on the waterfront. If you are looking for a high-end steakhouse we have had good experiences at Grill 23 in Back Bay (make reservations and go early in the evening). If you are at Fanuiel Hall there are several nice and friendly sit down places in that area as well because that is a tourist intensive area, and across the street on the City Hall side is another good seafood place called Naked Fish. Also: Jasper White's Summer Shack is great seafood in a funky setting that is fun for kids - there is one downtown adn one at the end of the Red Line at Alewife. For Pizza, try Bertucci's (there are lots of those) or the North End - someone else posted a tip that sounds good there.

I think most places in Boston are kid friendly as long as the children act appropriately.

If you have kids and all kids love spaghetti I have the perfect place, it is in the North End of Boston on Salem Street, It's called La familia Georgio. It;s not a fancy place but, it's like dining in an italian family home. It is reasonable and extremely large portions. they cater to families and you will see many of the natives eating there. The staff is very friendly and it feels like you are welcomed in there home. I have recomended the resturant to many friends and co-workers and they are repeat customers. My family loves to eat there and always ask to go back

There are many search sites which would provide you with this information, however I have two suggestions of my own. Legal Seafoods caters nicely towards children, with a childrens menu, big booths, and crayons for the kids! Also, try Pizzeria Regina which is good food, but more of a pizza style relaxed atmosphere where kids will be generally happy! Delicious for the whole family.
